Charlevue Red Brangus is situated at the foot of the beautiful Blackdown Tablelands National Park, Dingo, Queensland. The stud consists of 50 Red Brangus Cows with a further more 250 herd females. The stud produces approximately 15 to 20 Red Brangus bulls per year with all steers sold at Gracemere Saleyards as yearlings.
All Charlevue breeders go back to Doonside bloodlines. Doonside was one of the first Red Brangus studs in Australia. They originated from Red gene cattle from the famous Couti-Outi stud where Bill grew up. They originally sorted genetics from an influential Red Angus stud in Victoria, Jillanglo and bulls from there were used over Red Brahman and ¾ Red Brahman cows at Doonside. They were practical cattle and produced a strong base to the Doonside Red Brangus stud.
Charlevue has introduced through out the years genetics from the ever successful Duarran Red Brangus Stud, Roma. More recently genetics from Redline Red Brangus Stud, Eidsvold were introduced. Cattle from the Dingle family operation are highly competitive and very functional cattle and we are pleased with their cattle’s results through the Charlevue herd.
Most of the top producing Charlevue Red breeders go back to bulls that were introduced from USA by Bill and Kay Geddes, Doonside over 20 years ago. This herd was from the famous Paleface ranch owned by the late Mike Levi. His cattle had length, depth and style to them that very much assisted Doonside Red cattle in the years and also their clients.
Charlevue bulls are offered at auction as rising 3-year-old bulls, some used on heifers as 2-year old’s to cut costs for the stud and also piece of mind that they perform. They are offered fully guaranteed, semen tested, vet checked and well handled with horses, dogs and bikes.
